500.000 PAGE VISITS TO THIS BLOG!

This past week we passed a significant milestone, we passed the 500.000-page visits mark!

I couldn't let it go without a big vote of THANKS! to all those regular followers who have stuck with the blog from the start and the many more who have joined since we first posted 7 years ago.

In real terms, 500,000 is not a lot perhaps but when you consider that we are a single focus blog, with the attention always being on the Somerton Man Mystery. Furthermore, we have stuck firmly to the view that this was always an espionage case and never wavered, we've done really well. In fact, the web stats we have, show that this blog is clearly the leader in the Somerton Man space by a long chalk.

Quite a few people have been of great assistance on this journey but I should single out Clive Turner for his support and contribution over the years, the TIBOR KALDOR, HAY INTERNEES, and PAUL LAWSON INTERVIEWS and FEDOSIMOV projects were outstanding examples of great teamwork with Clive. For the record, all are still very much alive as future posts with new information will show.

Our visitors come from every part of the globe and the cloud below includes many of the languages but not all. including my own languages:

  3. I hope we're closer to putting a name upon his gravestone

  4. Thanks, Pete and thanks for your support as well! I agree it will be good to put a name there. I think that, first we need to understand more about the evidence and any new information. It is the new elements plus what is already known that will enable a confirmation of the man's name.

  5. The thing about names, is if they're too common, they're impossible to trace. Wolfgang Wagner for instance is a perfect name for an illegal, because there's not only truck loads of them, but since there's a famous one as well, any search comes up overwhelmed by the famous one. You simply will have a haystack for your needle

  6. Yes, you're right of course. Surprising how names can crop up again and again, our Soviet friends had the habit of changing names and borrowing them at will. Even moving from one office in the US to another the name and the moniker would change, the CPA had their own way of doing similar things. All part of the disinformation play. I am sure the West did the same. Before we get to the name issues, the job is to gather every bit of evidence to be found and then assessed.

There's a matrix underway, it's based on a few elements but includes dates, places, known players and a couple of other things. It'll be interesting to see what shakes out of that part of the exercise.

If you have no data then no analysis can happen, if you attempt to put forward a solution based on zero or bad data then you are in the realms of mysticism. You must substantiate data as best you possibly can and if you can't verify it completely say so and go forward with your best assumptions. The Somerton Man case has lots of data and lots of people with opinions, very few bother to verify/substantiate their findings.

Good to hear from you Pete.
