SOMERTON MAN: MORE NEW CODE PAGE IMAGES 21st JANUARY, REAL DEAL

CLOSE UP IMAGES
FROM THE AUTHENTIC CODE PAGE FILE

Uploaded examples from the code page, more to follow:

Above letter O from 4th line above letters M and T

Above you can make out letters in the curve as highlighted and smaller characters in the upright of the D

Still some work to do on enhancing these images, nonetheless you can make out characters in the highlighted areas.

First letter in the second 'crossed out' line, the line is also filled with letters and numbers which you may just be able to see.

From the last line, a little blurry but put that down to the new camera! I think you will be able to see the fine characters in the letter M and with some difficulty within the S but definitely there.

The letter A is quite full of characters on both uprights, an image posted earlier showed the numbers in the crossbar.

The prized letter Q, had to give that a place! You can see quite a string including the XCA and int the corner the number 23, the rest of the sequence is a little blurry but I will be working on this letter.

Faded but visible, the ribbon at the base of the code page has some very small examples of writing.

these are the crossed lines in the centre of the code page. They are filled with micro letters and numbers which you should be able to make out.

Finally for today at least, the letters B and O with the X and crossed lines above.

What does it all mean? It means that whoever had the book used it to lean on whilst they took notations related to at least the movement of the USS New Orleans as per the earlier posts on the letter Q and contents. There is a mass of information on the page and it will take a serious effort to uncover it all and then find whatever clues we can as to the meanings.

At a higher level, this micro writing points to the involvement of an agency of some kind, one that showed interest in the New Orleans at least. But just who had the ROK book in their possession that last day of November? It probably was not the Somerton Man but someone he was due to meet perhaps?

And what of the cover-up? There is no doubt now that both Police and military had a good idea of what the code page held, indeed one man quite possibly knew exactly what it held.

The big question is who or what agency had enough clout to keep this under wraps for so long? I have a fair idea and those that have been following this blog of recent times would be able to deduce just who or what may have been involved. That is not to say that the person or organisation carried out the deed but their's may have been another role.

As an aside, in discussions with a friend some few years ago, he thought that this discovery would be the first time micro writing and the INK H technique had been discovered and made public. Well, the code page is one example but there is another :)

  1. Great findings Gordon! On the lopsided letter (top section) 'A' it looks like letters reading "streis..."? Clive
