The Unkown Man book by ex-Detective Sergeant Gerry Feltus has now been released as an eBook, it can be accessed for direct reading or download at the following locations:
iTunes AU – https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/the-unknown-man/id1266569434
If you haven't already bought a copy, it is seriously recommended, it's factual because it's been well written by a seasoned 'old style copper' who well deserves the respect and admiration of us all. Gerry first published his book in 2010 and since then he has sold copies not only in Australia but also 23 countries around the world. That is one huge achievement, I understand from Gerry that he'll be taking things a little easier for a while, I wish you well GF!
At the risk of outing myself as technologically challenged, do you know what format the book comes in (do I need special software or is it PDF or similar)?
ReplyDeleteNo problems, the options are related to which site you choose, so if you hose KOBO you would view the book with the KOBO reader, ePub for booktopia, Amazon I think is an ePub and iTunes would be iBook reader. The various readers are normally free. Hope this helps! I really should have included the tools in the post.
ReplyDeleteVery glad to see that Gerry made the book available in electronic form. I pestered him about this in December 2013 and he seemed very reluctant about the whole thing. I ended up buying a copy and having a friend from Australia bring it back for me on one of his trips. It's a great book, and the original print version has excellent print and illustration quality. But with shipping to the US at that time, it cost $55 USD, which put it out of the range for many people. Now with the electronic version and print-on-demand technology it's much more affordable.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't bought the book, I high recommend it. It is the most thorough analysis available.
All the eBook links seem to be down. Any idea of where to get the eBook now?
ReplyDeleteIs there any information about the re-release of the book? In my country is almost impossible to buty G.M. Feltus book, even used on.
ReplyDeleteApologies for the delay, I missed this comment. Gerry's book is no longer in print which is a great shame. You can find used copies on ABE and similar sites with prices ranging from $250 to $1200. I got my copy, a 2010 edition, some years ago. It's a great book and highly recommended. I hope you are able to find a copy.
