Somerton Man AI 3D Videos, Different Perspectives...

The Video container above contains 5 short clips that show an animated 3D version of the Somerton Man. The clips are all based on the two post-autopsy images, which were sourced from the 1949 Inquest documents.

The intention here was to show different aspects/perspectives of the man's physical appearance and introduce a little 'Human' behaviour.

I have also decreased the playback speed of the clips so that everyone gets an opportunity to see the details.

On the question of details, some who have followed this blog almost from day 1, will know that around 10 years ago I noticed a newspaper article, it was in The News, I think. It made mention of the fact that the Police would be releasing a 'reconstructed' photograph of the man. Just what that meant was not made clear at the time. My thoughts now are that some adjustments were made to the facial appearance of the man at that time, to what extent I really don't know.

In the clips above, you might also notice that there are differences between the shape of the left and right ears. Again, this was something that was noted some time ago, the right ear has a different shape to the left ear, whilst this caught my attention, it is only right to point out that most people have slightly different shaped ears, although the Somerton Man's ears are significantly different in the photographs. That could just be an issue with the image itself, but time will tell.

Finally, I have used an AI package to create these clips and whilst AI has done an exceptional job, it is not always consistent and there can be errors. The way I put it is that at this time this is the best I can do with this particular package.
