...The Scales of Justice,,,
Behrooz is the person who was able to organise the release of the Webb Divorce papers. The evidence in those documents, read in isolation, is pretty damning if your name happens to be Carl Webb.
But Behrooz's latest update paints a different picture. In it, he positions himself as a Judge and notes the apparent one-sidedness of Dorothy's account of the events within the marriage. Her evidence was, in effect, all about her, how she was the victim on every occasion and yet Carl by his actions in proposing a settlement, for example, showed that he was a reasonable and fair-minded person. Does that mean that he wasn't an abuser? No, but neither does it mean that he was and Carl, having departed this world, was in no position to give the court his side of the story.
Social conditioning is a real issue, media, and various interest groups consistently and actively try to influence the public mind. We see it every day. Notably, this occurs in the Domestic Violence arena where women are always painted as the victim and men are always the perpetrators, but is that the truth? No, of course, it's not, in the real world, both sexes can and do commit wilful acts of violence.
It would be wrong to Judge Carl Webb on the evidence of Dorothy alone.
In a similar vein, there are those who conflate Carl's apparent behaviors with the belief that in some way this is not consistent with the actions of a person who was involved in espionage or spying of some form. The evidence based on the concealed torn slip, the code page, and even Alf Boxall's copy of the Rubaiyat all say otherwise. Clandestine messages, codes, concealment, and tradecraft are present and that cannot be denied.
Behrooz provides us with a voice of reason for which this commentator will be eternally grateful
