MANY THANKS TO
OUR AUDIENCE....
A very big 'THANK YOU' to our audience!
I am not the guru when it comes to website statistics but I am reliably informed that the interpretation of the data above means that in the month of July, we had:
- Just over 25000 site visitors
- A 'bounce rate' of 29% approximately
- When people visited the site they viewed on average almost 12 pages
- The visitor's average time on the site was just over 20 minutes.
Again, I am informed that the bounce rate, is in essence a measure of the number of visitors that arrive on the site, view one page and then leave.
For a series of complex reasons the gurus' rate bounce rates as follows:
1. Less than 20% indicate there are problems with the website setup.
2. a rate between 25% and 40% is great
3. 40% to 60% is average
4. Over 75% bounce rate is considered ugly.
The page views per visit that we have is apparently quite enviable, especially for a blog and the time on site is similar.
As you might expect, there was a significant uptick in visits in July following the Carl Webb announcement.
Given that the statistics shown above are correct and I have no reason to doubt them, then we wre on the right track.
As you will see in the headline we are just on 750,000-page visits since our start-up in 2013.
A very big vote of thanks to the loyal followers many of whom have stayed with us since the beginning
