THE LECTURE....
This is a 2015 audio/video presentation given by Professor Abbott. In it, he gives a detailed account of the evidence in the Somerton Man case. This is one of the trusted resources that I regularly refer to.
To be clear, there are many things within the video that I totally agree with, some that I question and some that I disagree with but it is nonetheless a video I highly recommend to followers of the case.
Amongst the evidence discussed you will find certain items that have been claimed as 'discoveries' by others, the missing matchbox for example and others plus the discussion of the scene and the section that deals with the man's teeth.
You'll also find a good description of the scene of the discovery of the body and most importantly a comment made by the witness John Lyons, he provided a very interesting piece of the puzzle when he described the distance of the water edge to the wall against which the Somerton Man was found.

From that point, and already knowing the time that Mr. Lyons saw the trappers, a calculation could be made. That calculation takes the hypothesis based on the investigations work of this blog with the invaluable input, advice, and oversight of Dr. John Luick the renowned tidal expert from being a possibility to being a probability.
The work put in first by Gerry Feltus and Professor Abbott is fully acknowledged. Without their work, many of the real discoveries made here on this blog would not have been possible. I hope you watch this video, it's quite lengthy but it is filled with some most interesting and valuable information.

ReplyDeleteEveryone is entitled to their view, sadly, some know only one way to argue and that's to breathe fire and issue insults and abuse. Along the way they seem to have lost the skill to discuss things rationally. I wish them well and hope they resolve whatever issues they have.
