THE CONNECTION MADE..
Tibor Kaldor is now positively linked to the Somerton Man, Al Boxall and Jess
It has taken a long time to get to this point. It is only the recent acquisition of a new camera and lighting equipment that has enabled us to define the nature of this connection.
The image above is the first page of Tibor's last letter prior to his death in an Adelaide hotel on December 13th 1948. It was the date that caught our attention.
Here's the next step, a close up under LED lighting:

Next, macro lens closeup and rotated view:
These are very clear examples of micro written code, they appear to be of the same style and type found in the 'Code' page, the torn piece and Verse 70 although somewhat neater and more precise.
This next image below has been selectively lightened to show the definite strings of micro letters/numbers written within the date.
Gordon, how do you see Tibor's suicide note falling into the hands of someone who knew where to look for the hidden message?
ReplyDeletePrior to this discovery, we had found an acrostic code in this same letter, DANETTA. Now, on close examination we also find micro written code within the date at the top of the first page of TKs last letter. I am assuming that you can now see the very small writing.
ReplyDeleteYour question is reasonable, effectively, why would he put it there and how would he be sure that someone would read it.
It is not beyond the realms of possibility that Tibor had already had contact with the Police, perhaps he had been to view SM's body and he may even had told Police that he now feared for his own life. In his mind that should have been sufficient to tip the Police off and ensure that they would have paid close attention in the event of his untimely death, he may even have suggested that he would try to communicate via a note? Reaching out from the grave ahead of time?
Those are my thoughts, just based on what may have been possible. And your thoughts?
Since Tibor arrived in Adelaide on Saturday 11 Dec 1948, I'm assuming the body was not viewable at the weekends. This means that Mon 13 Dec 1948 was the first time that Tibor could have viewed the body. The date of the letter, in my view, gives it away, he knew who the SM was and, as Gordon states, was in danger. He didn't trust speaking to the police so, he did what he had been told to do, use a final, suicide letter as a cover for the real message? Clive
ReplyDeleteIf Tibor had been to see SM's body, and if he had gone to the police thinking he was in danger it would have been noted in both his file and the files produced at SM's Inquest.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't.
That's interesting, I know that TKs file was far from complete and I am honestly not aware of a complete list of those that viewed SM's body so I can't agree with your statement, unless you have the list or TKs missing files?
ReplyDeleteWe have the inquest papers, there doesn't appear to be anything missing, and no mention of Tibor in any of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd a list of people who visited and viewed the body?
ReplyDeleteYou say Tibor may have visited the morgue to view the body then seen the police, unsure if his own fate. ... there is no mention of this anywhere other than here. Perhaps you might be more qualified to answer that question as I cannot.
ReplyDeletePete, you asked the question about how I saw Tibor's note falling in to the hands of someone and I answered it as best I could:
ReplyDelete"It is not beyond the realms of possibility that Tibor had already had contact with the Police, perhaps he had been to view SM's body and he may even had told Police that he now feared for his own life. In his mind that should have been sufficient to tip the Police off and ensure that they would have paid close attention in the event of his untimely death, he may even have suggested that he would try to communicate via a note? Reaching out from the grave ahead of time?

What are your thoughts on how that happened?
I don't believe Tibor used anything other than plain text to convey his message. And there is enough in that message to suspect his suicide was the result of a set of circumstances beyond his control.
ReplyDeleteOK, you're entitled to voice your view. As for me, I am sitting here having taken many hundreds of images of the date on his letter, they all show the presence of micro writing and that particular subject I think I am well qualified to make the call and that's what I've done. It's as present in this letter as it is in the Hay Banknotes, the torn piece TAMAM SHUD, the code page and Verse 70. They all contain micro written letters and numbers, you have seen some and are aware of their existence.
ReplyDeleteI have examined hundreds of other examples of pen and pencil writing and cannot find anything outside of these that I have quoted that shows these micro written words and numbers. They don't happen by accident, they have been deliberately written there. The question is 'for what purpose'. The code page, the torn piece and verse 70 are all self evident, TKs letter is an educated guess as to its purpose, but it is still present.

Spent a little more time in an effort to enhance the strings of micro letters and numbers found within the date. It is now slightly improved and it quite definitely shows the existence of handwritten micro code.
