As we begin 2026, we are not just turning a page on the calendar; we are marking a significant chapter in the history of the Somerton Man mystery. This update celebrates the begining of the 14th year of the Tamam Shud blog and the 18th year of my dedicated research into the case. With a new book on the horizon and well over a million eyes on our findings, the path to the truth has never been clearer.

When I first began writing here in January 2013, the goal was simple: document findings and share questions. Looking at the statistics today, it's humbling to see that our all-time page views are about to hit 1,290,000 this week. That number represents a global community of inquiring minds and history enthusiasts who have stuck with this investigation through every twist and turn.

A Standard Apart It's worth noting that Tamam Shud is now the longest continuously operating blog dedicated to the Somerton Man mystery. In a digital space often crowded with theories and guesswork, this platform stands apart.

It is important to clarify that this blog is not a standard "blog" in the traditional sense, nor is it a forum for debating unverified opinions or engaging in personal disparagement. Our focus here is distinct: this is a research repository. My background is in formal analysis reporting and evidence gathering from lowly beginnings as a Constable attached to CID to boardrooms of extremely large multinationals and Government Departments, and that is the standard to which I hold this site. We deal in documented evidence, forensic analysis, and cold hard facts.

Evolution of the Investigation This post is not just about looking back; it is about the momentum that's being built for the future, an ongoing work in progress. The investigation has moved into a more rigorous phase, evidenced by the recent publication of several research articles on Academia.edu. These papers allow for a level of technical detail and peer review that ensures the findings made regarding the Somerton Man stand up to the strictest scrutiny.

The Blog: A New Experience The site itself is evolving. There are new pages to better organize the vast amount of evidence we have uncovered. I am also excited about the increasing use of audio.

This brings a new dimension to the the new information is presented, allowing everyone to listen to the latest developments whether they are at their desk or on the move.

The Book: Somerton Secrets Perhaps the most exciting news is the progress on the upcoming book. This manuscript is the culmination of those 17 years of research, a comprehensive effort to weave together the threads of espionage, tradecraft, socio political machinations and forensic evidence into a definitive narrative. It is a major focus for me for some time now, and I look forward to sharing more previews with you as the launch date nears.
