My view is the same as it was in 2014 when I first published images on this blog questioning the nature of the Somerton Man post-autopsy photographs.
Here is another image that has been brightened such that the colour variation, whilst visible is somewhat more difficult to see.
In the image directly above on the left, you can just make out the colouration difference but not quite as pronounced. Once you have seen it you can't unsee it.
Here's a frontal view of the face:
Again, you can see the outline where the superimposed face meets with the head. With the contrast and levels adjusted a little, you can see the area of the face that appears to be quite shiny. Morticians wax? If so why leave the upper forehead dull?
The post-autopsy photographs have definitely been modified significantly. Is this what the December 1st 1948 Newspaper article mean when they said the image was to be re-constructed? Does this explain why a number of people who viewed the body said that he didn't look like the photos in the press?
