...A PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGE?...
THAT'S HOW IT APPEARS...
.
...The images of Carl Webb published by ABC TV, has a major issue. When you look at the image above you can see that the circled area on the left ear shows signs of the image having been altered when you compare it with other images of Carl Webb at an earlier age. In short, this image appears to have been 'Photoshopped' or modified so that it might better resemble the left ear of the Somerton Man...
Above are photographs of the right and left ears on the Plaster bust created by Paul Lawson. Notice just how detailed the right ear appears. Paul was a true craftsman and worked very hard at getting the replication correct even if he had to work from the Police Autopsy images and the body at the same time. As he explained to me, the left ear was not in good shape and it was difficult to model correctly.
Now look again at the same image but this time pay attention to the shadow area marked and arrowed:
Now look at the close-up of Carl Webb's left ear shown earlier in this post:
It looks to me as though someone has lifted the ear shape image from the bust and using photoshop or similar, they have then positioned that shape onto the image of Carl Webb. The same half-circle shape appears on both images and in an almost identical position but whoever did this inverted the image so that the dark shadow became paler in colour. Hence you see the half circle on Carl's left ear is off-white in colour and the rest of the lobe looks almost metallic in appearance.
If there are any photoshop experts watching this post, more than interested to hear your opinions. I understand that this and other images were put through an image enhancer and there would be some effect from that but I would not know just to what extent the main image would be affected.
This next image compares the left ear from the bust with the left ear of the Somerton Man:
The shape of the left ear on the bust is very different from that of the Somerton Man...
As pointed out earlier in this post, Paul Lawson was meticulous in his work, he crafted the fashioned the right ear as accurately as he could and you would have to think he did the same for the left ear. And, as you can see the left ear of the Somerton Man is just not the same as that on the bust.
And here's the Right Ear of the bust:
You will note that the right ear has an almost identical shape to Carl Webb's, Junior and Teenage photographs.
When do all these 'coincidences' tip over into 'it's a fact' territory?
ReplyDeleteWhen you work it through, here we have one photograph of the bust, and there are many others, but this one clearly shows a half circle shadow towards the Apex of the left ear.
ReplyDeleteNow we can also see that same half circle shape in the exact same location but near the Apex of the older Carl Webb's left ear. The only difference being that the half circle in the same position has been inverted in terms of colour so the shadow turns an off-white. The rest of that ear shows similar shapes to the left ear on the bust.
So, in answer to your question, I think the time you refer to has arrived.
Notice that Paul's efforts with the left ear, do not show a squared ear lobe which is the shape of the Somerton Man's ear, it is a tapered lobe much like the left ear of Carl Webb.
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a way you can check the records for unidentified bodies arriving at the morgue? Is it likely that Carl's body was found at the same time as TSMs?
