SOMERTON MAN MYSTERY: SPIES, LIES & A LETTER TO ASIO ....

NEW RELEASE:
SPIES AND LIES BY ALEX JOSKE....

BUT WHAT HAS IT GOT TO DO WITH THE SOMERTON MAN CASE? READ ON...

Spies and Lies by Alex Joske is a groundbreaking exposé of elite influence operations by China’s little-known Ministry of State Security. Revealing for the first time how the Chinese Communist Party has tasked its spies to deceive the world, it challenges the conventional account of China’s past, present, and future.

Mere years ago, Western governments chose to cooperate with China in the hope that it would liberalise, setting aside concerns about human rights abuses, totalitarian ambitions and espionage. But the axiom of China's 'peaceful rise' has been fundamentally challenged by the Chinese Communist Party’s authoritarian behaviour under Xi Jinping.

How did we get it wrong for so long?

'Spies and Lies' pierces the Ministry of State Security’s walls of secrecy and reveals how agents of the Chinese Communist Party have spent decades manipulating the West’s attitudes – from an Australian prime minister to the US Congress, prominent think tanks and the FBI – about China’s rise. Through interviews with defectors and intelligence officers, classified Chinese intelligence documents and original investigations, the book unmasks dozens of active Chinese intelligence officers along with global MSS fronts, including travel agencies, writers associations, publishing houses, alumni associations, newspapers, a Buddhist temple, a record company and charities.

Spies and Lies is an extraordinary insight into the most successful influence operation in history – one which has fooled the West for years – and is indispensable reading.

...A COLD WAR PLAYBOOK BY ANY OTHER NAME... ...

Make no mistake, the methods in use by the Chinese Government today are almost an exact replica of those used by the Soviets in the Cold War years. The first step is to infiltrate Universities, colleges, various local organisations, and Government departments. Then soften them up and feed them words they love to hear. They fall for it every time. Followers of this blog will know from much earlier posts how the Soviets set up and funded satellite organisations that fed fresh intelligence into the local CPA chapters who in turn delivered it to the Soviet Embassy in Canberra before it made its way to Moscow.

You could say that this post is a departure from the normal topics but as you will read in later posts, the Somerton Man case left a legacy for Australia and a deadly one at that.

A LETTER TO ASIO

Some already know that there is a small private group that works closely with this blog. There are specialists from various disciplines with whom we work to ensure that we keep delivering important and relevant information to the Tamam Shud audience.

A letter was sent very recently to ASIO in relation to the activities of a Chinese mining group, I have removed the name of the sender and other details but what you read should cause concern, and as said earlier, this comes from the Soviet Cold War playbook and in future posts you will understand why this post is very relevant.

Here's the content of the letter:

Director-General
ASIO Central Office

Dear Director-General,

Attached is a file regarding a China Australia Mining PTY LTD lease at Hawks Nest.

Mineral sand stockpiles from 50 years ago are being recovered by this company. One stockpile is just north of the Hawks Nest golf links. It is visible in radiometric imagery. National Parks seem to be happy with the removal of this radioactive material. It has also been removed from Bundjalung NP.

China Australia Mining was the company's business name from 2021-08-21. Other business names include Greencoast Environmental Rehabilitation. Their official company name changed on 2007-06-21 to China Australia Mining Pty Ltd. The company had used this name up until 2021-08-24. This Australian proprietary company was previously located in SA 5067 (from 2014-01-18 to 2014-09-23), SA 5067 (from 2007-06-21 to 2014-01-18).

AUSGIN imagery identifies Uranium and Thorium minerals in rocks and other deposits, including mineral sand mining waste. It identifies multiple near-beach sites in need of environmental restoration and this is occurring, particularly in New South Wales. The radio-minerals involved include Monazite, Xenotime and Leucoxene. These recovered rare earth minerals are presumably being exported as Ilmenite and processed in China or elsewhere. They are regarded as technologically enhanced naturally occurring radioactive materials (TENORM) and are potential hazards.

Other sites:
Cooloola Cove, Dunwich, Southport, Currumbin, Byron Bay, Black Rocks, Crowdy Bay and Hawks Nest. These were the locations of past mineral sand dredging operations.
While these radio-minerals are clearly evident in our Granites and other rock types, they are only visible in silica sand at these locations of past mineral sand processing.
Not only are we exporting these Ilmenite stockpiles from our National Parks long after the original mineral sand mining operation, we are NOT accounting for fissile and fertile radioactive material.

I hope that this can be of assistance.
Kind regards .

The technical terminology boils down to the fact that Australia is giving the Chinese access to Uranium but not only that, they are accessing some very rare earths that are of great concern.

NOTE
You will read that there is a strong relationship to Adelaide in the above letter and just maybe Byron Bay is not necessarily the best place to live...

HAWKS BAY

For those interested, I have a PDF document that provides more detail on Hawks Bay. Let me know if you would like a copy.

With thanks to JohnP, Peter Davidson and others...
