Someone is being trained, but by who?.....
THREE RUBAIYAT BOOKS
COMPARED...
SEE UPDATE 1. BELOW...
The copy on the far left is one provided to me by Barry Traish, the center copy is one from my collection and the one on the right is the Boxall Rubaiyat containing the Verse 70 Inscription.
All three are the same edition being published by the Australasian Book Publishing Company in Sydney.
You will immediately notice that each book has different page colours, due, I think to the issue of paper shortages at the time of manufacture around 1942. The printers used whatever paper was available within reason.
As for the actual; printing, I think you will find that publishers would have farmed that work out perhaps on a tender basis.
The books at this stage all look to be similar but as we progress your view may change.
I put the comparison image above through an online forensic analysis tool, in the following image you will see what they look like in an ELA or Error Level Analysis view:
UPDATE 8th April
A closer look at the ELA images above shows increased intensity on the edge of the Boxall book as you will see below in the direct com[arison between the Barry Traish book and the Boxall book: BARRY TRAISH COPY BOXALL COPY
The orange highlighted area shows the difference in brightness.
Next, here's the comparison between my copy and the Boxall copy:
Again you will notice the increased level of brightness on the edge of the Boxall copy in comparison with that on my copy.
NOW LET"S LOOK AT A CLOSE UP POSITIVE VIEW:
First the three individual top left images:
You can see that the Traish copy has a narrower edge to the book cover
BOXALL ROK
Numbers and letters visible reading left to right within the
highlighted areas of the above image...
Above you can see a distinct difference in design and texture between the Traish and GC copy compared to the Boxall copy. In fact, if you examine the Boxall copy carefully you will see that the edge is filled with pencil markings with numbers and letters amongst them.
I used the exact same method to get these images. All three copies of the book were printed in high print resolution on an inkjet printer and on bleed-proof paper.
And this example is properly described as concealed, clandestine communications and in this instance, someone is being trained but by who?
There is another set of images to follow this post shortly.....

The next logical step with this post is to include yet another copy of the same edition of the Rubaiyat that contains the inscription signed by Jestyn.
ReplyDeleteI have a copy and some time ago, Barry Traish very kindly forwarded a high resolution copy of his copy of the same edition.
I have done some preliminary work on this and it does seem that there are differences between the Boxall copy and the two 'control' copies. But, best to wait until that work is completed. Wait 1....
