THE BOXALL/JESTYN BOOK
 VERSE 70
THE COLLECTION

Given the recent claims, counter-claims, and 'unusual' comments amongst two other blogs in this space, I thought it was time to clarify once and for all the true nature of the Boxall/Jestyn copy of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.

From the outset, it was obvious to me and others that this book contained more, much more than an interesting quote from within the book and the number 70, the latter being written by Alf Boxall and the former purportedly by the Nurse 'Jestyn'.

In the following collection of images, you will see clear examples of micro-written code and the methods used to conceal them. These same images have been shown to literally hundreds of independent people and all concur, they clearly see the micro-written examples. Amongst those viewing them is a very senior Australian military officer who has invited me to visit and view historical military texts and documents. The Covid situation has disrupted the travel plans but, all things being equal, I hope to make the trip South in around 1 month's time. I am sure there will be much to see and learn and I will report back on the visit.

The collection of images you will see, shows the two pages from the book as shown in the mage at the top of this post. The first is the 'inscription' page and the second is the Title page. Lets' start with the title page first:

In this first image, look specifically at the letters R, K and H. They are in clear focus and you can clearly see the microcode written within each letter.

On the SHA'IR line, you can again see clear examples of microcode carefully and expertly written into each letter.

This concealment technique was described in the CIA Manual in the first part of this post a few days ago, you can download the document from there.

Perhaps a little less clear but still discernible, you can see the presence of code in the letters I, R, H, the second Y, A and M.

There can be no argument to the contrary. This technique is closely associated to another classic example, the Hay Internment Camp Banknotes. Another post will deal with that topic in detail.

To the right, and again quite clear, you can see yet more microcode concealed within the letters T, H, E and R as well as part of the letter U

This is very special, it is a close-up of part of the vertical line found between the two pages.

And another from the same line...

And a personal favourite, this is the bunch of grapes image from the Title page, amazing work:

SOME 2015 IMAGES FROM THE POST

BELOW ARE THE IMAGES OF THE ILLUSTRATION
FOUND ON THE 'INSCRIPTION' PAGE...

Above, look closely at the detail of the Fez, facial features, and the sideburn.
Note the fez, in particular, microcode in horizontal lines across it.

Above, the detail on the hand, the ring, the cuff, and
the outline of the leg right down to the toes..

Above, the facial features, lips, chin, and nose plus the sideburn all contain micro-written code. The outline of the collar, arms, and back show yet more code.

I will be adding more images to this post in the next day or so plus some extreme close-up images where possible.

If you are viewing this on a smartphone you will be able to enlarge some of these images quite successfully.

  1. Clive, one quite well known tradecraft technique was to use a tube of toothpaste which certainly had toothpaste at the expected end but the other end contained a secret compartment into which you could put another substance.
