THE SOMERTON MAN CODE IS NOW BROKEN AND WORK STARTED ON DECODING EFFORTS...
Once you have successfully printed out the first image, I recommend that you rotate that image when viewing as the code has been printed at different angles, the last P has a good example set as does the 'flourish' beneath the last letter 'R' on the last line but you will need to rotate the page to see them clearly.
The image below has been marked up with just some of the letters and stain areas containing microcode letters and numbers that are more readily viewable.
The top right-hand corner 'stain' mark contains what could be telephone numbers, you definitely must rotate the image when examining the top corner pieces. The Left corner appears to read down the page normally but the microcode has been written from the right side of the page.
The Boxall copy of the Rubaiyat containing the Verse 70 inscription contains the exact same type of microcode. I will get a large version uploaded over the weekend.
If anyone has any issues printing out and viewing this code page, please contact me and I will talk you through the process...
UNI STUDENTS
For any University students visiting the page, you could make a project of this, I will publish the actual source code page plus the instructions to follow in order to remove most of the upper layer of ink from the page, the result of the inking over that was done in 1949 in an effort to obscure the real nature of the code.
Any rumours that you might expose yourself to some dreadful disease by following this page or any details on Microcode have been grossly exaggerated.
