It's actually an ELA image, a forensic tool used to pick up any altered data as in where someone may have fudged a result by adding or changing an image. This one shows no such issues. By default though it does seem to have picked up some unusual features as you suggest. As a result I went back and had a closer look and I would agree trhat it looks like a 3 on pine 4. Further, if you you look at the 'I' notice how elongated it is in comparison to the I other letters I on the page? Could even be construed as a forward slash making the set read ML/30. Another aspect that I found to be of interest is the apperance of quite dark markings in various locations particularly emenating from the letter D and diagonally downwards to the right. There are other similar markings. No idea what they may be just yet.

Annonymous, I agree with Clive that a trip to Pete Bowes's site, www.tomsbytwo.com, is probably the best bet, whilst I appreciate your views and comments, I tend to focus more on aspect of physical evidence than examining theories of different kinds and Pete Bowes does that well.Gordon332https://www.blogger.com/profile/17690592260936410432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649149095048346117.post-35210420886306180732015-08-15T14:33:02.998+10:002015-08-15T14:33:02.998+10:00Hi Gordon, On line 4 the letter "B" look...Hi Gordon, On line 4 the letter "B" looks like the figure 3? and strange how both lines 4 & 5 seem less feint than the first three lines. Clive

Anoymous: Check out Pete Bowe's Somerton Man site re French Ballet-he seems to have a similar notion! Just a thought, has anyone entertained the idea that the code may be ballet choreography notation of some sort? Possibly a type of notation that the Somerton Man created himself as a type of shorthand? So many things point towards him possibly being involved in ballet, perhaps he was creating a dance for the mother of his child, his one true love, the woman that in the end turned him away due to her current relationship status? Apologies if I digress from this post of yours, it's just a thought of mine that I have been keen to put out there. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
